Publishing Your eBook
Once you've put all your 'blood, sweat and tears' into writing or compiling your eBook and you've had a spiffy cover and nice layout done, the next step is to sell your masterpiece to the eager-to-buy public. But how do you that? Here are some options:
Here are 5 options for 'publishing' your eBook on the internet.
1)
Lulu.com is a print on demand publisher that offers traditional paper publishing as well as eBook services. There is no setup charge or production cost but they do charge 25% of your eBook price on each sale.
2)
Clickbank.com is a trusted online retailer specializing in digitally delivered products. Once you've opened an account with them, they look after all the financial transactions with the customer and deal with refunds. You have to create a "pitch" page and a "thank you" page for selling your ebook, which means you will need your own website. They also allow you to sell your book through affiliates that you recruit.
3)
eBay You can take advantage of the built in traffic swarm that eBay generates every day. eBay no longer allows the sale of digitally downloaded ebooks from their site, but you can get color copies printed and bound for a small investment at your local quick copy shop and then mail those out to buyers.
4)
Yahoo Auctions Most people think eBay when they think online auction, but Yahoo Auctions is another avenue for selling your eBook. They allow you to use either the auction price format or the fixed price "Buy It Now".
5)
Your Own Website You could set up a website with information about your niche and offer your eBook for sale using either Clickbank or PayPal as a way to collect payments directly from your site. You could then use Google Adwords, (pay-per-click advertising), to draw traffic to your site.
