Does your eBook need a cover?

All printed books you see on the book store shelves have covers to try and make them pop out from every other book on the shelf. The cover attempts to catch your eye and pique your interest enough to pick it up. The same principle applies to an eBook cover. The 3D cover, (example below), that you use in your online advertising draws the eye and tells the customer that they are looking at a "real" product.
